About Sarah Hartman
TRAINING: Sarah Hartman began her musical journey at the age of three when she enrolled in Suzuki Violin lessons. She obtained a Bachelors degree in Violin Performance from Northern Arizona University where she was awarded an Orchestral Performance Scholarship. Sarah trained with Dr. Louise Scott to complete her Suzuki Violin Teacher Training Registration Books 1-5 and has also participated in many short-term Suzuki institutions in Flagstaff, Gilbert, and Tucson, Arizona, and Falls Church, Virginia.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE: Miss Sarah taught at the NAU Music and Dance Academy for three years where she managed fourteen private students, group classes, and performances. Her students have ranged from ages three to fifty and levels beginning to advanced. Sarah was also responsible for the development of an after school program at Mountain Elementary School in Flagstaff, AZ where she taught beginning group violin lessons.
PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE: Sarah served as co-concertmaster for the NAU Symphony Orchestra and as a section violinist with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra for three years. Sarah performed with the NAU Chamber Groups and attended a highly prestigious music festival in Vols am Schlern, Italy.
